Vehicle Description 1988 Chevrolet Suburban Squarebody R10 Original Classic. This unit has been single-family owned since new and is about as original and well-preserved as you could ask for. Even the factory original radio has been saved and is included in the box after being converted to a retro-style Bluetooth stereo system. It was ordered with some unusual Silverado package options, including power door locks (which all work properly), but no power windowsâ€"probably a good thing, as we all know Squarebody power windows are not their strongest feature. The factory oversized floor mats are still in place, protecting the absolutely perfect original carpet. The original dash and interior have been exceptionally well cared for. Service history has been spot-on since the day this truck was new, and it has always been indoor kept. Powered by the legendary 5.7L TBI fuel-injected 350 V8, this Suburban has been freshly serviced and inspected and needs absolutely nothing. Features include full-length stainless running boards, Rally wheels, and stainless vent visors. In an effort to preserve the originality of this vehicle, we intentionally left the few minor paint imperfections untouched. They are typical GM paint imperfections for this era and are limited to areas such as the tops of the mirrors, portions of the hood, and the tops of the fenders. These areas could easily be refinished, but we did not want to alter a single thing on this truck. It comes with all of its original paperwork, owner\'s books, and documentation. It still retains the factory spare tire in its original holder. There is very little, if anything, to criticize on this Suburbanâ€"even the undercarriage is everything you could hope for. We couldn\'t bring ourselves to doing a 4x4 conversion, which is normally something we would love to do. This truck is simply too perfect and original to modify. That statement doesn\'t come out of our mouths very often, as we love lifting and customizing vehicles, but tearing this one apart would almost be sacrilegious. Of course, the new owner can do whatever they would like, but finding another untouched, single-family-owned Squarebody Suburban in this condition would not be an easy task. |
